Fiona is home!

Fiona made it home. She traveled all the way home from Iowa on mom's lap. She didn't come with a carrier, but mom said she laid on her lap all the way home and slept most of the almost 5.5 hours home. Mom said she is smaller than she thought she would be. She still has a baby face, she seems much younger than the 1.5 years she is supposed to be.

Our first meeting did not go well. She seemed to like me but she smelled funny to me and I hissed at her and tried to attack her. I don't know why, I'm a lover not a fighter but I had a strong negative reaction to her. Mom and dad had to separate us, separate food stations, litter boxes and gates went up. I had to sleep with dad in the back bedroom while Fiona had the run of the house last night.

Mom said she stayed in the bedroom with her and ventured out into the hallway to eat. She loves this little heated cube home that neither Lady Harley and I would go into. She loves it, it's her home and safe place. Mom let me out of the room so we could get to know each other. She seems to like me but I am still not sure of her. I follow her and sometimes hiss but I have not attacked her. Mom said that Fiona likes to rub her face on mom's face but then bite. Mom stops it and doesn't know what to do. Right now Fiona is asleep in her new bed and I am down here on the laptop with mom. All is calm now.

Ps.. Anyone want a fur-challenged sister? I am willing to sell her when mom is not home.

Thanks for visiting MY blog and for your offer of a sister.

I am (almost) ashamed to admit that I purrfurr to be a one-cat family. Taking care of two Peoples is quite enough for me!

Oh, Harry! Give your little sister a chance! You will grow to love her, I am sure. And maybe you will both snuggle up together and keep each other warm.

The next best thing to fur is another warm body.

Dante is amazed to see a kitty without much fur. Just as amazed as you were to see him.

You keep your fur-challenged sister. You're going to need her.

Give your little sister a chance before you go and sell her. Besides if your mom comes home and you have a lot of green $$$$$s and no sister around she will know right away what happened and you will be in big trouble for sure I think.

Are you going to list her on e-bay?????

It took me several days to get used to having Harley around. He stayed in a separate room!

Hi Harry! We've seen you commenting on several other blogs we visit, so thought we'd come say hi. We see you're new to the bloggie world so welcome!

Your new sis/mom Fiona will settle in soon and you'll get used to her, it just may take awhile. We just adopted 2 new kitties a few weeks ago, and we're all still working things out (we're a big household - we went from 5 to 7 kitties with the new adoptions).

Just give it time, and don't sell her yet, remember how lonely you were just a few days ago? ;)

Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew

How is the little sister today? Is she still being a pest and getting all the attention? You're lucky you only have one sister.

Oh no! The last thing I need is another sister!!! Ha! I think you need to keep her. Give her a chance, ok?

Give Fionna a little time and she will be a good sister for you, she is just a bit scared too. Take it from me, I know what having sisters is like.

Good luck with Fionna. I wish I could help, but I've been an only kitty for 14 years.

Maybe u should give yourself and Fiona a chance to get along.

Hey, thanks for being my fan, I'm your fan too ;)

Keep in touch!

It's best to keep you two separated so Fiona can get used to her new home and you can get used to her scent. After a while everything will be OK.

Harry I don't think your Mom would be very happy if you tried to sell your new sister. We hissed at Trixie at first but now we're all used to each other and even get along most of the time!

Oh Harry, it's naughty trying to seel your sisfur. Although I'll admit I played with that thought too in the first days. But now I wouldn't give my sisfur away for anything!

Hi Harry. We just came across your blog and stopped by to say hello. We had some wonderful Sphynx friends when we first started blogging but they suddenly disappeared from the Blogosphere one day. Would you be friends with us? And of course your new sister, Fiona!

PS: We're old hands at intros here. It takes a little time...

Thanks for stopping by today. It is always fun visiting with you. I wanted to let you know that I really like your background photo on your blog. Is that Chicago? Chicago is a favorite place where the mom and dad like to go. Lots of fun things to do there.
