As you know mom , dad and sister are home from China. Both Spot and I were happy to see mom and dad walk in the door. We were extremely lonely here in the house without them all those days. It seemed at times that we would never see them again. Mom and dad hired a pet sitter for us. She came 2x a day to feed, water, give meds, clean litter, take in mail, etc. I took a liking to her right away, she was very nice. Spot hid from her and scared her becasue she could not find him, she even called our big brother and he emailed mom and dad in China to ask where Spot likes to hide. Fortunately Spot came out of hiding a few days later. She even spent the night here several times so we were not home all alone. She promise to come and visit us often now that mom and dad are home.
Things at home went smoothly except for the invasion of ants. The sitter tried to get rid of them to no avail, I did my part by trying to eat them while Spot hid under the bed covers and napped. They are not very filling but I had fun chasing them. Kept my mind off the lonliness and mom and dad not being at home.
I took a liking to my new sis right away, us girls have to stick together. Spot on the other hand stays clear. I stick pretty close to her, especially when she is eating. Sometimes she needs my help eating all the food on her plate. Mom and dad get mad when they see me on the table and take me off. I am jsut trying to help, you should never over feed a child and I am just there to eat the excess food. I am still hoping to get a lick or two of her organic milk-yum!
We are so glad that our fur friends did not forget us. We even got an award as soon as we got back from Eric and Flynn. We don't get many awards but that's Ok. Sometimes we think about not accepting awards because it is so hard to pass on awards to just a few blogs. We think everyone is deserving. We love every blog and every kitty is special and unique in their own way. It is like trying to pick your favorites and we don't have favorites. We love everyone of you!
We missed all of you and are so happy to be able to visit our friends again. Unfortunatley, we can't visit and post as often as we did before since my sister demands my moms full attention at all times. We will do our best to post and keep up with the purthdays, gotcha days and send purrs and prayers to the sick kitties out there. Mom's free time is when she is in bed for the night or early in the morning while she is still sleeping. She is quite the go getter during the day and wears everyone out.
Mom and dad liked China, they visited the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City. It was a once in a lifetime trip and they said if you ever have the opportunity to visit China you should go. That is my sister's red couch photo at the White Swan Hotel.
That's my weekend update. Hope you all have a great weekend!

I liked reading about all the excitement at your house! Even though my Human does not have a sticky little person to take care of, she knows what your mom means about being so busy. Sometimes she gets to feeling guilty about not visiting everyone enough. But I tell her everybody's busy and they all understand. Speshully us kittehs--if we get enough good food and naps we can be very patient!
We are so glad that your mom and dad are back. We knows how lonely it can get with out them!
You all sure has a lot going on over there, we loved reading about it.
Don't worries about blogging, we'll drop in when you post, and wonder when you don't... TK might even make up some stories about you, you know- just to fill in the gaps!
Have fun with your sis!
Those are great news, Fiona. I'm glad your humans are back. Tell Spot to give your new sister a chance, he will like her, she looks very sweet.
Purrs from Gotchi
That is such exciting news! I know that after such a thing it is hard to really spend time with all your friends.
Your new sister is a cutie. I think Spot will get used to her in time. Getting to help her eat her food is wonderful.

Purrs, Keiko, Kenji & Pricilla
Take no notice of Spot - man cats get in a huff if they aren't the centre of attraction all the time and getting their sisfurs to tidy up after them. We're glad you like your new sister and are making friends with her.
If your Mom has time perhaps she could put up some pictures of some of the places they visited.
Fiona,
What an excellent round up of the news! You new sister is a doll. We are very curious about sticky persons, we have never met one. But we think we'd like the food sharing deal a whole lot!
Tell your Mom that a picture is worth a thousand words, and easy to post...
Meow for now...Lounge Kats
Sounds like a lot of excitement on this trip! Is this the little sister who supposedly doesn't like cats? If it is, we sure glad you changed her mind!
Welcome home to the Mom and Dad and most especially to your new sister! Yes, it is important for you to supervise the amount of food she is getting, and to assure she is not overfed. Spot, get with the program!
We would love to know sister's name, even if it is a made-up name for the blog.
Hi Fiona, It was great to hear about the update. I'm glad you like your sister. What fun to help her clear her plate! I had to laugh about the ants. I haven't seen ants in quite some time, but when I do, I do the same thing as you. I eat some of them, mainly because I can and they wiggle. It's true that they're not that filling. It's terrible when we have to have cat sitters, but it sounds like you have a good one.
I can only imagine how happy you are to have them home...and we've been missing you!
your new bean sis-ter is just beautyful.
You are being the PURRfect sisFUR by helping your sisbean eat all of her foods! We missed you while you were gone too! Glad you're back with a new family member!
Hi Spot and Fiona! It is great to hear all the exciting news! We are so glad your human sister is finally home, and we are glad your mom and dad weren't gone for too too long. It is great that you have a new human sister now - we hope you all have fun together! And we understand why you guys aren't able to blog as much now - it will take a while for your new sister to get used to her new home, so it is good for your mom to spend time with her right now! We hope all goes well til you are able to post again!!
It's good to have your mum and dad back. We missed ours when they were on holiday. Your new sister is lovely and we are glad you like her so much. It is very thoughtful of you to make sure she doesn't overeat.
Don't worry, we understand busy. Our mum hasn't been able to help us visit as many friends since they came back. It will probably stay like that now until the winter. We just do what we can.
Thanks for that update, Fiona. We're glad things are going well with your new sister and you like her. She is furry cute...for a little person. We don't like little persons much and usually stay clear of them...kinda like Spot. We understand that your mom is more busy now. Just let us know how you all are doing occasionally, okay?? 'Cuz we care about you.
Hi Fiona, good to see you. Sounds like things are very exciting at your house. Hope the ants went away. I bet Mom and Dad were thrilled to see you too. Glad everyone is back together.
Have a wonderful week end.
Furtastic to cat-ch up with all the exciting mews at your house!
We wanted to say thank you for stopping by our bloggie and purrin' hard for Brighton.
Your visits mean a lot to us and are like bronk bronks of affection!
So glad you are all doing well. Take good care of your new sister. It's nice of you to help her eat her food.
Fiona, we are so glad that your Mom and Dad are home and have brought you a new bean sister, she is gorgeous! And we are also so glad that you had a nice pet sitter while they were gone, that is very important. Now things can get back to normal and you and your new sis (and Spot too) can get to know and love each other so much!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Did the ants go? The mom said apple cider vinegar takes care of dem pests good!

I know what you mean about being abandoned - my mum and dad did the same thing when they went to China in April! They saw the Forbidden City and climbed the Great Wall of China too! I'm glad you're getting along with your little sister too.
Your new sister is very pretty!
Thanks for sharing all the news, Fiona! What is your new sister's name?
How weird! We're still following your blog, but for some reason your updates are not coming in to our reader!
We wondered why you'd be so quiet of late!
Your sister looks very cute. Our Daddy got to go to Japan on business and he says it is lovely. The Mom would love the chance to visit exotic places like China & Japan. We know what you mean about awards. Passing them on is the hardest part cause there are so many terrific blogs we wants to give them to and we can't remember who has already gotten the award from someone else and...........(sigh) we just does our best and everyone seems OK with it.
