With the Spotter Express parked in front of the Tinley Convention Center in Tampa, Harry traded his classic bowler and black tux for some campaign-clothes and took part in a photo op and Q & A with local reporters.

He was excited to visit the Convention Center ~ after all, he fully expected to be making his nomination

acceptance speech there is just a few shorts months.
Many of your have been asking for his talking points. Here are a few of my talking points.

I stand for free health care for all animals.
Free neutering and spaying for all dogs and cats.
Many cats and owners are against declawing.
We are against the shooting and killing of animals except where a person or other animals are in danger of being being killed or mauled.
Subsidized catnip for all cats.
All Sphynx are entitled to free sweaters and warming beds.
Au and Target would like free ham and chicken handouts to all cats.
George the Online Cat is outraged that the occupy wall stree protestors are using signs of "fat cats" for political purposes. He wants to outlaw the use of fat cat pictures for political use.
Cory would like all shelters to be kill free and make it illegal to have kill shelters, and have TNR funding increased.
Selina would like cat and dog adoptions to be tax deductible.

If you have any more suggestions to add to my platform please let me know. I believe all cats and dogs should have a say in our country and how it is run.

On the Road Again!

Fellow voters:

I am overwhelmed by the out pouring of faith you have in my ability to run for President of our great nation. New Hampshire was a slam dunk because of you. Since I won your complete confidence I am moving on to the South Carolina Primary. Campaign contributions have been pouring in since I won. I can't believe that I travelled to New Hampshire in a cat carrier and now I'm traveling to South Carolina in this luxury motor home. Love it!

As you see on TV, the campaign is getting even nastier. Mud is flying and stuffed dogs are showing up on the rooftops of cars protesting Mitt and what he did to his family dog.  Why wasn't he charged with animal cruelty?

One of my platforms that I feel strongly about is animal rights, such as free medical care for us, no inhumane treatment, severe punishment for those that abuse animals, and lower prices on cat nip. Let me know what issues are important to you and I will add them to my platform.

Next to my post is the new ballot for the South Carolina Primary. Voting starts now and ends next Sunday. A big shout out to my campaign manager Ann at Zoolatry and the CB. Ann is doing an amazing job at getting the vote out, and the CB for supporting me as well.

New Hampshire Primary

My fellow voters,

Here I am in New Hampshire for the primary campaigning for a spot in the Republican Party.

Mitt Romney is 20 points ahead of me, and Santorum is gaining in the polls. I am one of the underdogs so to speak.

I am trying not go negative. However, it's hard when the other candidates are slinging mud at me just because I am a "Cat". They are calling me Harry the Hairless. The nerve! Did I make fun of Romney's mom jeans! Isn't he the one that strapped his dog to the top of his car and then tried to explain it to Peta that his dog likes fresh air! Really... And, how many wives has Gingrich had? Wasn't he chastising then President Clinton for cheating on his wife Hillary while He Himself was cheating on his own wife? Let's not forget Obama who was quoted on his campaign trail as stating he had just visited 57 states and had one more state to visit. Last time I checked we had 50 states. Peta is mad at me too just because I like to chase a mouse or two. They say that mice civil rights are being violated. I say all cats have the right to chase mice if we want. What ever happend to Cat Rights?

It's getting tough out here, one journalist on FOX called me a socialist because I am in favor of free veterinary care for all those who can't afford to go the vet for routine visits and medical care.Do youhave any idea how much a HCM scan costs? Insurance won't pay for it. Every feline deserves the best medical care our prosperous nation can give. They are calling it government run Harry-Scary Care. I say power to us Felines.Then on the other side , MSNBC, is calling me a right wing conservative because I believe in fiscal responsibility and a smaller government. Pundits are saying I can't have it both ways. Why can't we have it both ways?

11% of the voters in NH are undecided. Lots to do before then, speeches to give, babies to kiss, hands to shake, and butts to sniff, that's a cat thing, the butt sniffing. Voting starts today and ends midnight next Tuesday, I have included a convienent ballot next to my post so can vote without having to travel to NH.

A Very Merry Christmas!

Mom is lazy so this is a card from last year before we got Daisie. Daisie is doing well and adjusting to her new home. Fiona is still jealous of Daisie and Harry hates them both. So, all is well!

Harry visited his heart vet this past week and he is in good health. His HCM has not gotten worse, it's staying the same and the vet said to come back in a year. Sweet Pea is still adjusting to life, her enviroment and her new family. She has come a long way.

We are very blessed to have our health and our family and friends and especially all of our fur and non-fur friends at the CB.

We wish all of friends a Very Merry and Joyous Christmas!

Good Friday:

I decided to visit Harry at the beach to get a little sun and have some fun. But not too much sun! Mom wants you to know that we are still having problems with the computer/comcast. Comcast was out and they say it's the computer. The computer is only 1.5 years old and it's out of warranty and apparently out of access memory or something. She is trying to find someone to fix so we can visit our friends.

We want to thank everyone for a great give a way. Harry wants you to know that he has one coming up as soon as he comes back from the beach. So you gents stay tuned for a fun give away. When Harry is done with his we will have another one for our Fashion Diva's with lot's and lot's of BLING!!!

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since our last post, much too long for my liking. The summer has been flying by, we can't believe that it's already July. We apologize for not visiting our friends, mom's computer is acting up again, mom says it's Comcast, Comcast says its router pathways, but whatever the prolem it's causing the computer to disconnect, reconnect, hang, and hang and not load blogs. It took mom 10 minutes to load my adorable picture.

We are all doing well, Daisie is feeling more at home. She runs all over the house now, has found some favorite spots to nap, some favorite places to sit and watch the squirrels outside. She is still having some problems with vomiting her food. She came that way, she eats too fast and then throws it up. Mom doesn't know what to do to stop it. She has had x-rays, tests, etc from her previous owners, there is nothing wrong in her stomach. She eats EVO dry food, loves it. Any advice out there, we are at a loss. Other than that mom and dad love her. I am not too fond of her though. This is my house and I am the woman of the house.

Harry had such a blast last summer at the beach and at the Piano Bar that he took off to the Vineyard again for the summer. I just may have to follow him, we all need a vacation.

We hope all our friends are doing well and having a great summer!

Well today is my 5th Birthday and would you believe that Mom forgot. She remembered when she opened the email from my friends at the CB and had that O..No moment.

I have no cake, no special party Bowlers, Brolly's or Butty sandwiches to share with you today to celebrate my 5th birthday that the heart specialist said I probablywould never see. How long do you think I can hold this over her head?

Mancat Monday Update!

I have to apologize for not visiting our fur friends. Mom has a crazy work schedule right now, very long days and then she comes home and has Sweet Pea and the house and dad to take care of and US. We miss all of you.

Well it's out, I'm on Face Book, but it's in my name and face only. Mom finally had to join so she could keep track of her two legged kids and family. They put Everything on FB. What's up with that! Mom has this new phone that updates her on recent posts from the kids, she says it's a blessing and a curse to be tied to all this new technology. She doesn't even have enough free time help us visit our fur friends and now we have to compete with FB. But at least she now knows when someone is not feeling well or if they are going out for the evening. She is not sure so much personal information shpould be out there for all to see and comment on. What do you think of FB?

The button on my photo is for HCM Research. A wonderful lady on the Sphynx Lair made a photo scrapbook of all the Sphynx that have passed from HCM and those living with it now. I was included in the "To Love A Sphynx" Scrapbook for HCM Research. Daisie is included too as she has a heart murmur and Fiona was included so not to be left out. It was such an honor to be included. It is a gorgeous hard bound book with color pictures of past and present Sphynx with HCM , we hope it raises lots of money for HCM Research.

Good Friday all:

Wow, is all I can say about that snow storm. Hope you were all safe and warm inside. We were buried in almost 2 feet of snow with drifts over 5 and 6 feet. It took dad hours just to snowblow our driveway and walks, then he did our neighbors who could not do it for themselves. He was out all day on Wednesday. At least everyone is dug out now.

I must apologize for my mom not helping us visit our fur and non-fur friends, she is such a slacker. She claims she is tired from 12-13 hour work days, then taking care of Sweet Pea and the house that she was jsut too tired to visit everyone. Slacker I tell you. It's a good thing we did not do a purrformance report on her. Her grade would be an F!

Fiona's Friday Fashion and Chat:Introducing Daisie!

Good Friday:

I don't have any fashions to model this Friday. I wanted to use this post to introduce my new sister Daisie. She kind of looks like me don't you think? This photo was taken from her former home. She doesn't want to sit and pose for photos yet. We want to give her more time to adjsut before we start blinding her with the camera and dressing her in pretty fasions.

Daisie is starting to get the lay of the house, she runs up stairs to the second floor and even jumped on mom and dads bed. She loves to be petted and is now jumping onto mom nad dads lap, sleep in the clean laundry basket, and purrs when she is happy, and she is very lovable. Daisie is very talkative, more so than Harry or I. I guess she has lots to say. We hope she is happy here and enjoys blogging as much as we do.

I wanted to give everyone an update on Daisie. She is doing well and using the litter box. She is still nervous and a little scared but that is to be expected. It was very hard for them to give her up, they waited for jsut the right family and we were it. We are so happy to have her. Mom has already Jib-Jabbed her, can you pick her out? Megan said that the print is made of 040 Polystyrene, has a MATTE (not shiny) finish. It is a lightweight economic plastic material used primarily for indoor point of sale advertisement. It is rigid and durable. It has a smooth touch but texture appears more rigid. If you frame it, I wouldn't put glass over it, because it has a cool texture as is. Definitely not your normal printing process, so gives it more character than just a regular photo print. I love mine and I know you will love yours too!

Fiona's Friday Fashion and Chat!

Happy Friday everyone! It's been awhile since my last Friday Fashion and Chat. Today I am modeling a beautiful, soft angel sweater from Pretty Kitty. Mom says I'm an angel that's why she bought this one for me.

I have some excitng news to share. I have a new big sister named Daisie. We picked her up this past Monday. Mom saw a post of a Sphynx needing a rescue only an hour from our home. Mom called and the owner answered the phone. It was not a true rescue, the owner was looking for a new home for Daisie, they felt that she was unhappy in their home and that there was too much going on, with 3 dogs, a bird, kids, etc, and that she needed a quieter home.

Daisie is a special needs kitty, she has a heart murmur level 3-4 but not on meds, and has some allergies. Her and Harry actually went to the same Heart specialist in North Brook.

Her mom and dad were concerned because she was not using the litter box at times. They felt that if she was in a quieter home and enviroment that she would be happier and use the litter box. They took her to the vet to check for urinary problems and she checked out fine. They hated to give her away but wanted her to be happy. Now that is love.

Dad went to get her on Monday and said that she had a beautiful home . They sent her with treats, her special food, some clothes, all her medical records etc. Mom and dad gated off the back part of the house so she would have it all to herself for a while. She has been hiding out in the office area, it's dry, warm ,has her food, treats, water and litter box with unscented litter which she is using. She is free to come out of there and walk around.

Daisie does come out of the office on her own to inspect the back addition, then goes back to the office area when she needs a safe place. It will take time before we are all comfortable with each other and we can all share the house together.

That's our big news for this week, I have a beautiful sister named Daisie. Hoepfully I will be able to introduce her next Friday with some pictures. In the meantime I will try and find a pretty fashion for her to wear for next week. That's my Friday Fashion and Chat.

Harry's New Year's Eve Friday Fashion and Chat!

I am taking over Fiona's Fashion Friday and Chat today to model this very Manly custom made Tux by Pretty Kitty in Russia. Mom told Alena that she wanted something very special for me to wear with my Bowler. So, Alena looked at my pictures and drew up this custom made tux jsut for me. It is an Alena original and I am the first one to wear and model it. We saved it for New Year's Eve so I could ring in the New Year in a very festive way. I think it makes me look even more dapper and British, especially when mom puts it on right. The first time she had my vest with the hankie on my back, then realized it was on wrong. Although you do get a better look at it that way. Moms know nothing about properly dressing a British Mancat in a Tux with tails.

If I could have only spun my head around like the exorcist kity this would have been perfect. Alena makes beautiful clothes, she has a whole line of sweaters for both mancats and ladycats. Mom purchased the tux so we are in no way obligated to give a positive review. We have exciting news for 2011. We are planning some product reviews, give aways, a Bowler Photo Contest, and a commentathon on my 5th birthday in May to raise some green papers for our Fur Friends at the CB. Also, Megan at Build A Sign contacted us. She wants to help the kitties at the CB along with her Company Build a Sign with an Auction to raise funds for those who need help with their vet bills. They are hoping to give away a 18 x 24 polystyrene art print that can be customized with your favorite kitty on it. This is my custom art print on the left that they helped me customize to my specifications. Had to make sure my Bowler was just right. It is in the process of being made. I can't wait to get it and see what it looks like.

Visit their art print page and see what they have and all the ways you can customize your art print. You can pick one from their site or change the picture and add your own, add text, change the background, etc. It's really fun. Megan will help you customize it. They will even ship it for free to the highest bidder in the US. Any winner outside the US mom will split the shipping cost. They are very eager to help the kitties who need help with their vet bills. We are still in the planning stages. We might be auctioning it off here or at the CB. Keep your paws crossed that this works out. All proceeds go to the Fur Friends of the CB.

It was a busy year, we don't know what we would have done without all our friends at the CB helping our with our vet bills. Because of you Fiona had the treaments and meds she needed , along my my vet needs after Fiona passed on her virus to me. I was very sick, cats are not supposed to bark and I was barking, had chest congestion and it was very serious especially since I have HCM (heart murmur). We are both healthy and happy now because of your generosity.

We also had a new addition to our family, Sweet Pea who came all the way from China. She growing like a weed and keeping everyone on their toes, including us. We also celebrated our 1 year blog anniversary and Fiona's 1 year Gotcha Day at Thnaksgiving, and our 100th Post. We didn't mention it because we were still having computer problems back then. Comcast is still disconnecting randomly on us. Mom is going to switch to U-Verse and kick Comcast to the curb.

As we put the past into perspective and give thanks to those that helped along our journery we look forward to 2011, family, our CB friends, and all the blessings in our lives.

We wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Joyous, and Laughter -Filled New Year along with the love of family and friends.

I know we are a day late, but we just wanted to say we hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a great day spent with family and celebrating Sweet Pea's Birthday. Today the laptop came back with a new hard drive which means all our files and pictures are gone. Fortunately I can copy Harry's and Fiona's pictures from their blog.

But for now here is a new pic of Sweet Pea opening one of her gifts. She is wearing a Peace and Love shirt from Old Navy with grey sweat pants.

Fiona and I want to thank everyone who has stopped by to say hi and see how we have been doing. We are still having computer problems, darn these things. Fiona and I are very sad we can't visit our friends. Like I said before it takes this old computer forever to load blog pages, then gets hung up after 2 or 3 visits and won;t do anything. What can you do!

I don't know about where you love but there is a definite chill in the air here, and the leaves are turning pretty colors and falling off the trees. Mom even put the heat on once or twice to take the chill out of the house so we could warm up. It's hard to stay warm when you don't have any furs at all. I hate winter. I sure wish I could go back to the beach, I had such a jolly good time there, no Fiona or sweet Pea to bother me. I will be counting the days until next summer. .Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi". We miss you!

It has been a very long time since we have had a post. Mom's laptop is still not back from Lenovo. The computer we are using now takes forever to load web pages so we have not been able to visit our friends. Fiona and I checked the catblogosphere today and were shocked to see so many of our friends who are not well and those who have gone to the bridge. We are saddened and heart broken.

So much has happened since our last post, so many birthday's, gotcha days, new additions, celebrations and friends passing over the bridge. Eventhough we have not been able to visit you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Blue Screen of Death

We are so sorry, we are not able to visit our friends due to moms blue screen of death on her laptop. It happened on Friday morning and we have not been able to use it since. Right now we are using moms old laptop that has a mother board problem, it shuts down at will and most times will not restart for hours. The new laptop is being fixed and we wont have it back for over a week. We wanted you to know why we are not visiting. We will keep everyone in our purrs and prayers and see you when we are back up and runnng. Gotta go before this shuts down. Have a great week.

Good Friday to everyone,

On our last night of our beach vacation Harry invited me to the Piano Bar as his Guest of Honor. I have have to admit he was quite good and had several standing ovations. Now his head and attitude will be bigger than ever. How will we ever live with him at home?

Do you like my faux furs and hat? You can never go wrong with pink. Thank you Ann at Zoolatry for my beautiful evening ensemble. I feel so elegant and sophisticated.

On the right side bar we posted what we want for Christmas from mom and dad. Harry wants the outdoor cat enclosure, and I want the pink Diva Stroller. Hint - hint- mom and dad. Never too early to make your Christmas wish list.

Dress update. Mom found a elegant chocolate brown evening dress for the wedding along with shoes and bag. She even found the perfect dress for Sweet Pea to wear at her sisters wedding. Now she can relax until the big day approaches.

Harry and I had a nice surprise when we got home from the beach. We had a big box sent to us from Sweet Praline for Christmas in July. She went all out. Just love the pink bed and matching blankie. I will be putting that to good use. We have delicious treats, kitty frame, soccer balls, a nip toy that Harry loves, a note pad, cans of stinky goodness, a box to sit in, and turkey jerky. We have never had that before. Yummy!

Thank you Sweet Praline , we love all the gifts you picked for us! I think we might be rumbling over that nip dog and the pink kitty bed and blankie. Thats it for my Friday Fashion and Chat, hope you all have a fun-filled weekend.

Good Friday,

As you can see this photo was not taken at the beach where I am right now. This photo was taken before I left when mom had me try on all my beach clothes to make sure they fit properly. This beach side fashion hoodie is from Suffie's Fashions. It's white with pink trim. It's a nice beach cover up after all the sun and fun of the day. Perfect for the beach side fire and clam bake, or haning out on the board walk.

Harry is having loads of fun. He seems to be the talk of the beach, why I can't figure out. We will be here another week then it will be time to pack up and come home. Our summer vacation is flying by fast. Can you believe that my human sister's wedding is 5 weeks away and mom does not have a dress yet, or for Sweet Pea. Slacker I tell you.

Thursday evening she went to a bridal shop to look at some dresses but no luck. She said it's hard to order a dress that they don't have in stock and hope it that fits you and looks good. So, she didn't buy anything, she says he needs to buy something off the rack in her size. That way you know it fits and looks good. She is going out again this Saturday. I will keep you posted on the dress situation. It has to be elegant since my sister is wearing a Vera Wang Bridal Gown.

Our Christmas in July package came today from Sweet Praline. Mom said I will love what's in the box. She won't tell me, she says she wants me to be surprised. So, next Friday I will be featuring our Christmas presents from Sweet Praline.

Hello my lads and lassies,

I am having sterling fun, I'm at the sharp end of the beach. The beach babes really love me, especially my fur less, toned and muscled body. They fight over whose turn it is to rub lotion on my smooth skin and pinch my blue spots. It's been rollicking good fun. Mom entered this picture in the photo contest and I won. I have never won anything before, Great fun I tell you- Great fun! Gracie is hand picking my prize, anything she picks out for me I know I will love. I want to thank everyone who voted for me and especially Anne at Zoolatry who made this win possible.

I found the perfect Bowler replacement at a local hat store here on the board walk. They were having a two for one sale so I purchased two just in case Fiona and Sweet Pea decide to play hide and seek with my Bowler again. Better to be safe than sorry and Bowler less.

The beach has been sweet as a nut, that is until Fiona showed up. She had the nerve to try and set-up next to me. I told her to find her own spot at once or I would summon the rozzer and to leave me to my peace and quiet, and oh yes...the gorgeous babes who absolutely love me. I even found a night time gig in one of the local piano bars, part-time of course. After all, This is a vacation, I'm here for fun and sun. I fill fill you in on that in a later post. Anyway, time to go the babes are calling me for a game of beach volleyball.

As you can see I am headed for the beach to join Harry for a vacation. Do you like my sun hat? I could not find my bikini so I brought my umbrella and my sun block. I know this is not much of fashion statement this week.

Harry is set-up a little further down the beach, he is pretending not to know me. How rude! I have to apologize for mom again for being such a slacker. Harry sent a post to mom for Mancat Monday but she was so busy with the little one that it ended up as a wordless Wednesday Photo. Harry wanted you to know that he found the perfect Bowler Store on the boardwalk here. He is having a great time and even picked up a part time gig. I won't ruin the surprise I will let Harry tell you himself in a future post.

Mom has been busy and has not had a lot of time to visit our friends. Today I am modeling this beautiful hand made sweater that I won from One Cat's Nip. It's beautiful and stylish and matches my skin tones. I think the 3 pink buttons are my favorite, you can never go wrong with pink in my fashion book. The yarn is soft and feels so good against my skin . It is also very warm and toasty, perfect for when the A/C is on and for those chilly days and nights. It's big enough for me to stick my head inside and snuggle up inside it. I love it- Thank you One Cat's Nip!

Now for my Chat: I have read on some blogs that some of you are quite disatisfied with your person/human/mom/dad who does your blog posts for being shall I say being lazy. Let's call it what it is, they are slackers, my mom included. How many times has my mom helped me visit my friends this week-1. One time in 7 days, do you know what her excuse is, I'm tired, I have a bad cold this week, Sweet Pea has doctors appointments, Sweet Pea wants to play, etc.. Then she has the nerve to put that flashy box in my face and expect me to strike the perfect pose for my Friday Fashion and Chat.

Has she mailed her Christmas in July gifts to Sweet Praline yet-NO! She even had the gifts ready before July 4th and there they sit. She actually bought the box to send the gifts in yesterday so maybe they will get out next week. I am so embaressed Sweet Praline, its not me, its my mom. I for one am tired of her excuses. She better shape up or I might teleport out of here and join Harry on the beach. I really could use a warm sunny spot to nap, no flashy box in my face, the gentle breeze against my skin, the sound of waves lapping on the beach, a niptinni or two. Hmmmm....... Where's my bikini?

Fiona's Friday Fashion and Chat~

This Friday Fashion is from Snuffie's Fashions. It's a pink and green camoflage tank dress. On the back is says daddy's Little Girl, which I am totally. Mom had to put 3 photos of me in today's post so you could see the pretty dress. I am not a very good model. I turn my head everytime mom points the flashy box at me. I am not being paid to model for Snuffie's fashions nor did I get my clothes free or at a discount.

Chat time: I can't believe a week has gone by already. The summer is flying be so fast for us. We had lots of fireworks in our neighborhood, Sweet Pea was not all that thrilled, actually she was afraid of all the bangs and booms and had to be taken inside the house. I on the other hand found the pretty displays very festive.

Harry has decided to go on a Holiday by himself. He has packed his little bag sans the Bowler that we cannot find and teleported out of here last night. He says he wants some piece and quite and a warmer house. It's been sizzling here and mom has had the a/c on 24/7 which makes it cold for us furless kitties. So, he packed up and left. I think he might be headed for the beach.

I have some great news to share, I won the beautiful sweater from Ones Cats Nip. Wow! I can't beleive I won a fun sweater to model on my Friday Fashion and Chat. I have never won anything before, this is so exciting. Thank you Ones Cats Nip! I can't wait to show it off.

On a funny note, our neighbors were getting rid of one of those plastic play houses. The ones that have a door, windows, you can play inside. Daddy asked the neighbor if we could have it for Sweet Pea, they said sure take it. Times like this is when you wish you had your cancorder with you. So daddy got inside the play house hoping to pick it up from the inside and move it down the block to our house. He put his arms out the windows and head up inside the roof. He looked like a cartoon character moving about sneakily. It was the funiest thing you ever saw, a house with human arms. He took a few steps and fell backwards with the house on top of him. All you could see were his arms hanging outside each window and his legs and feet sticking out from inside the house. It was hysterical! He finally managed to push the house along the sidewalk after his humilating attempt to pick it up from the inside and move it. I guess it's something where you had to be there. Trust us, Harry, Mom and I are still laughing it was so funny.

Fiona's 4th of July Fashion and Chat~

First off we need to apologize that we haven't been visiting our friends this week. We did try to check in on all the birthday and gotcha day announcements and sick kitties. Mom was busy with Sweet Pea's many doctor appointments this week.

I wish I were a better model to show off my Snuffie Fashion dress. You can see I have plenty of arm and shoulder room. Can you see the patriotic heart on my back? It also has very pretty bands of white and blue ruffles on the bottom. Sorry to Snuffie Fashions that I am not a very good model but I hate the flashy box thing in my eyes. Mom was going to take new pictures of me but things have been busy with Sweet Pea this week.

Now for my Chat time: We have great news, my human sister is not deaf at all, she passed her hearing tests 100%. She is a hearing child that was never taught to speak/talk. My mom and dad are still in shock from the news. Now we know she can hear us when we talk. This is her first 4th of July celebration as a brand new American citizen. Lots to celebrate !!!!

We also have more good news, we got 2 more awards from our friends, the Cat Napping Seal of Approval from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde, and the Happy Cat June Award from Gotchi. You can see them proudly displayed on our side bar. We would like to pass on the Happy Cat June Award to any of our friends that do not have it. On a very sad note, Sweet Neala went to the bridge. We are very sad that we lost a furless friend. We know she is not suffering anymore . She was Heroic and fought the good fight but she was needed at the Bridge more. Purs and prayers to to Neala and her family. We were blessed to have known you and to been part of your much too short life.

My fashion this Friday is from Petco size XS. It doesn't fit very well, it's tight around my arms and shoulders and I can't move. The Small size is way too big. I am so excited that Next Friday I will be able to model my custom fashion from Snuffie that fits just right. It's a special dress just for the 4th of July.

Now for my Chat time: Did you know that Harry and I are more than pretty faces without floofs and furs. We along with mom and dad help out the stray kitty population in our neighborhood. For almost 11 years now Mom and dad,  along with two other neighbors have been helping stray kitties. They feed them, give them shelter, trap them, spay and neuter them, and find them and their kitties homes.

Many, many kitties have been saved, given medical treatment, and given furever homes over the years.  Harry and I do whatever we can to assist our Mom and dad, we even taste test their crunchies to make sure they extra yummy.  Someone has to do it!

On a side note, Harry and I are kind of sad that not many of our friends came to see the Jaws movie we made, we worked really hard on it. We try to keep things light and funny on our blog and do creative things like the Movie.  We want you to know how much we love your visits and comments, so Please Stop by even if it is just to say Hi.

It's Friday so that means it's my weekend round-up time. I am toying with the idea of changing the title of my Friday posts to Fiona's Diva Friday Fashion Show and Chat. What do you all think? Although that might be a bit difficult, as of now I only have two items of clothing. Not much of a fashion show. So mom went on a clothing search to find clothes that fit Harry and Me.

My floof and fur friends probably don't realize how hard it is for us Sphynx to find clothes that fit us feminine felines and mancats without furs. Most of what is offered in the stores do not fit properly. First of all they are made for dogs, and second,without all the floof and furs the clothes and sweaters hang, fit loose, our legs get stuck in the arm and neck holes, they fall off, and they are very expensive. That's why I only have 2 items of clothing, one for fall and winter and one for summer.

My momma found 2 Kitty clothing lines just for us Sphynx, although they do make clothes for all types of kitties. Momma took my measurements and sent them to Snuffie's Fashions where the nicest lady is custom making some pretty dresses for me. She makes more than dresses. She even makes 4-legged jammies for kitties and woofies. Her clothing line is reasonably priced, less than half the price of what you find in the stores and they are made to fit your body. So reasonable that mom was able to buy me a couple of summer dresses for the same price she paid for the summer frock I am wearing now. How can you beat that!

Harry is having something very special made for him by a Couture Line of clothing called Pretty Kitty Couture Clothing Line in Russia. He gets cold with the a/c so mom wanted him to have something unique that suits his fondness for all things British while keeping him warm at the same time. He was very crabby while mom and dad tried to take his measurment as he is still upset about his Bowler. Right now he has on his holiday Christmas sweater.

That's all for my round-up and chat this week. I guess it was more of a clothing round-up. Although I did hear dad say something that both Harry and I were filthy and needed a good power washing, that doesn't sound good. What is a power wash? Should we be concerned?

Can you help find my Bowler?

Hello all,

As you can see my trademark Bowler is missing. Seems Fiona and Sweet Pea absconded with it thinking it all good fun and now they can't find it. I never appear in photos without it but what am I to do? The Bowler has become my trademark. As a dapper Mancat that is well Booted and Suited I need my Bowler to complete my look. Speaking of being a dapper mancat, do you like my new cape that Auntie ML sent me? It was a little large so mum had to take it in. It took her furever but she finally finished it and now it fits like a glove. It is quite stylish and also hides my spots from the lass.

I thought my British Look was complete and now my beloved Bowler is missing. If anyone can find it and return it I would appreciate it. I must leave now as I am distraught and don't want any sweet felines to see me with my chin down.

Fiona's Weekend Round-up!

It's my weekend round-up time. Poor Harry, his spots are in a real twist. His chin has been down since my sister Sweet Pea came home because he is not getting the attention he is used to getting. He is even growling at mom and dad, because I guess he feels left out.

Harry is also feeling sad because he didn't make it as a Cow Kitty. He sent his photo in but didin't make the cut. He thought because he had spots, and a toupee that he might be one. He guessed he didn't make it because he had blue spots and not black. In black and white photos they look black. He really had his hopes up to be a Moo Cat and join all the fun. This is not the first club who turned him down.

He also wanted to be an Honorary member of the Floof and Fur club eventhough he doesn't have floofs and furs. It seems everyone who has furs is a member and he just wanted to fit in with everyone on the CB. Oh...poor Harry, he just can't seem to fit in anywhere. Mom is going to give him some tuna for dinner tonight to cheer him up. Wait till he finds out about his Bowler, then his chin will be really down. More on that later.

Regarding Sweet Pea, she is sticker obsessed and thinks everything is a sticker. She tries to peel everything she can get her hands on. She makes quite a mess of things sometimes. Just want you to know that Harry was never harmed in any attempt to peel off his spots or toupee. The Bowler is another matter. It is quite fun to chase him around trying to get his Bowler.

He gives a good run for your money and it is good exercsie on rainy days. I have to admit it is jolly good fun! The down side of that is we actually got a hold of it and we put it somewhere to play a joke on him and now we can't seem to find it. It will turn up - I hope! Cross your paws for us. By the way, Do you like my new pink princess sundress? I digresss.

Ps.. don't tell Harry we lost, er, misplaced his Bowler. I am still searching for it.

Yes, it has been a while since our last chin wag with mums and dad in China fetching Sweet Pea(blog name for our sister). Fiona has spread a false rumor about my hiding while our home was invaded with ants. Nonsense I tell you! Upon my notice of the ant invasion I immediately rounded them up for an identity parade to see who were the trouble makers, the leader of the gang and then marched them to the back door and ordered them to leave. I would have summoned the rozzer but there was no time so I took command and took care of the problem. It galls me to think that Fiona is trying to ruin my good old chap image while she is the one who is bit round the twist.

For example: the reason Fiona sleeps with Sweet Pea is that she likes the soft comfy blanket on her bed. She slept in her bed the entire time mum and dad were in China and she thinks it's her bed and blanket. As for the food, she hovers over Sweet Pea while she eats in hopes of stealing her food when mum and dad look away. If she could she would devour the entire plate and leave not a bit for the wee one. She should be nicked and given a long porridge for trying to steal the wee one's food. Here I am salt of the earth, a real diamond geezer while she begs food from the little lass. What does the lass do, she laughs at Fiona. She will stop laughing one day when Fiona devours all her food and leaves her not a crumb on the plate.

Things have gone down hill fast since Sweet Pea came home. Now Fiona chases me and the lass tries to take my Bowler. It's two against one and I am the odd chap out. If that is not enough the lass tries to peel off my spots, the lass thinks they are stickers . I guess she has never seen a cat with a Bowler or spots before. Maybe it's time to pack up my Bowler, Brolly, and spots and leave for a new home, one without little girls and dodgy felines. I would miss my mum and dad though. This requires more thought. What am I supposed to do?

Oh..well, time for a good solid kip once I find a new hiding place for me, my spots and Bowler.

Fiona's Weekend Round-up!

As you know mom , dad and sister are home from China. Both Spot and I were happy to see mom and dad walk in the door. We were extremely lonely here in the house without them all those days. It seemed at times that we would never see them again. Mom and dad hired a pet sitter for us. She came 2x a day to feed, water, give meds, clean litter, take in mail, etc. I took a liking to her right away, she was very nice. Spot hid from her and scared her becasue she could not find him, she even called our big brother and he emailed mom and dad in China to ask where Spot likes to hide. Fortunately Spot came out of hiding a few days later. She even spent the night here several times so we were not home all alone. She promise to come and visit us often now that mom and dad are home.

Things at home went smoothly except for the invasion of ants. The sitter tried to get rid of them to no avail, I did my part by trying to eat them while Spot hid under the bed covers and napped. They are not very filling but I had fun chasing them. Kept my mind off the lonliness and mom and dad not being at home.

I took a liking to my new sis right away, us girls have to stick together. Spot on the other hand stays clear. I stick pretty close to her, especially when she is eating. Sometimes she needs my help eating all the food on her plate. Mom and dad get mad when they see me on the table and take me off. I am jsut trying to help, you should never over feed a child and I am just there to eat the excess food. I am still hoping to get a lick or two of her organic milk-yum!

We are so glad that our fur friends did not forget us. We even got an award as soon as we got back from Eric and Flynn. We don't get many awards but that's Ok. Sometimes we think about not accepting awards because it is so hard to pass on awards to just a few blogs. We think everyone is deserving. We love every blog and every kitty is special and unique in their own way. It is like trying to pick your favorites and we don't have favorites. We love everyone of you!

We missed all of you and are so happy to be able to visit our friends again. Unfortunatley, we can't visit and post as often as we did before since my sister demands my moms full attention at all times. We will do our best to post and keep up with the purthdays, gotcha days and send purrs and prayers to the sick kitties out there. Mom's free time is when she is in bed for the night or early in the morning while she is still sleeping. She is quite the go getter during the day and wears everyone out.

Mom and dad liked China, they visited the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City. It was a once in a lifetime trip and they said if you ever have the opportunity to visit China you should go. That is my sister's red couch photo at the White Swan Hotel.

First I want to dedicate part of my last blog until June to Herman. We all need to be purring and praying for Herman to get better. He is having a rough time and he needs to show his vet up too. Show everyone that he can get through this. He is the Mancat Herman. Our purrs and prayers are with you and your family. You can do it, I know you can.

What a party! I had quite a turn out. I want to thank everyone for coming to wish me well and partake of some British grub. Glad everyone had such a good time. Those Voles, what a run for your money- Great Fun! Oh those butty sandwiches too, with some clotted cream you never go back regularr cat food after eating them. Would you believe all I got for my birthday was a can of tuna fish from mum and dad which Fiona ate. The nerve. First I thought that the Radio Flyer wagon with the canopy they set up was for me so mum and dad could walk me around the block and see the sites. But no, it was for my sister who is not even here yet.

Then I thought the new bed they put up was my gift, to replace my mancat cave that Fiona has taken over. But no, that was for my sister too. The nerve all I got was a can of tuna. If it were not for all my good friends on the CB this birthday would have been a wash out. I got an awesome bed from Gracie. Mum and dad could take a lesson from the CB on birthday gifts.

Is this a great bed or what for a gent like Me! This is sure better than that toddler bed I thought was mine. This is fit for a British King! Thanks again Gracie!

Well, I have more bad news. Mum and dad are in full swing of getting ready for sister and getting ready to bring her home and that Fiona and I will not be able to post to our blog or visit our fur friends until June. You heard me right JUNE!!! What is a mancat supposed to do? First all I got was a can of tuna and now this. A whole month with no blogging and no visiting friends. No catching up on blogs to wish my friends a Happy Birthday or Gotcha Day, no sending hugs, purrs or prayers to sick kitties. This is devastating. What will I do? This is my last post until June. I am so sad. I hope you all understand and won't forget me.

It's Party Time!

This a special birthday for me. I am 4 years old this weekend. The vet only gave me 3 years to live if that. Every year I live after three is a miracle. So mum is throwing me a party all weekend to celebrate. Let's get this party started. But before you do you must look like a proper Brit, so:

or a scone with clotted cream,

some fish and chips,

Harry Spotter's 4th Birthday Party Weekend Bash!

Harry Spotter will be celebrating his 4th birthday on May 1st. We have a lot to celebrate. His heart specialist said that he would not probably live past 3 years old and here he is today the Proper British Mancat celebrating his 4th Birthday. So, please celebrate with us. His party starts this Friday and runs into the wee hours of Sunday morning. We have plenty of party Bowlers, Brolly's, butty's , ham, cake, and nip for everyone.

He is feeling out of sorts with everything upside down right now and a new 4 legged sister who he hears does not like cats, along with Fiona who gives him a run for his money. He could use some cheering up. So please stop by and wish Harry Spotter a very Happy 4th Birthday!

Hi everyone,

We apologize for not being on the computer much and visiting all our fur friends. It's been chaos here. Comcast was here for 3.5 hours last Saturday. We think the problem is fixed. It runs slow and pages pick up slow but at least it's not disconnecting every two seconds.

It's been a very busy week for Mom and dad They are getting ready for Spot's 4th birthday on May 1st. They are planning a party for him and hope everyone comes over. I see festive Bowlers and Brollys or all guests, and I know that mom is making Butty sanwiches and clotted cream desserts too for everyone that comes over to celebrate with us. Should be a great party with lots of British food. I can't wait..those Butty sandwiches are really good. Yum! More info to come on the party later.

Mom and dad are also trying to get the house ready for my new two legged sister-the one that does not like cats. Mom and dad have not been giving Spot and me much attention lately they say they are much too busy. They are in the process of moving the office/computers from upstairs to the new office downstairs. They have the router/Comcast modem set-up for the wireless computers but not the desktop/printer, desk, etc. They need to make room for my new sis so the house is upside down right now. They have been buying clothes , bed, mattress, sheets, girly things, etc. I can't believe how much stuff one little girl needs: girly purses, socks, t-shirts, head bands, etc. I only have one girly sweater and she is not even here and she has a bags of stuff already. So not fair! I was here first. I should not feel this way after all the CB did for me. I am very grateful for the CB, and I know that mom and dad are too.

Without the CB helping pay for all my vet visits, care, dental work, meds, and Spot too the adoption would have stopped. It helped mom and dad so much that they were able to rebuild their travel fund after they spent it all taking me to the vet when they first got me and taking Spot too after I gave him a virus and cough. You see, all your help had a positive domino effect on our family and for my new sis in China. You fur friends are the best in the world.

Spot is not handeling all the change very well. He is being such a grouch with all the activity in the house, even with all the party planning that I have started calling him Oscar-the grouch! He walks around crabbing, hissing, growling, at me. What have I done to him? So I sleep in his mancave, eat most of the food, want to sleep next to him, and chase him all over the house, but I don't think that it is cause to get mad at me. What a crab! or GROUCH!!!!

I hope everyone at the CB comes to Spot's party so he can be happy again. I know that seeing all his friends would bring out the dapper English gent in Spot again. So please everyone come by on May1st to wish Harry Spotter a very Happy 4th Birthday!

Mancave problems!

It is a fine thing indeed when fine British gent like myself can't even leave his mancave. Fiona seems to think my mancave is hers. She has her own lass cave but refuses to use it. When I tell her to "sling your hook", she ignores me. What is a diamond geezer supposed to do! Fiona is all fur coat and no knickers, know what I mean? She lingers around until I leave to eat my butty or spend a penny and then she takes up residence and will not leave. I won't even start on how she only leaves me the crumbs on the plate to eat. That's a whole other dilemma. I give her a good rollicking but mum and dad get shirty with me. I wish I could summon the rozzer to have her collar felt for a nice long porridge.

I'm up quite the gum tree, advice from my fellow mancat solicitors would be appreciated.

Fiona's Weekend Roundup!

Where do I start? Lot's of news this week. We are still having problems with the modem shutting down. Comcast was here and said that a squirrel must have chewed through the wires. He was supposed to replace both wires but only replaced one. He checked the connection, it worked and he left. If he would have waited longer than a minute he would have seen the connection disconnect. I have to call Comcast again and send another guy out to fix the other wire. Very Frustrating!

I want to try and explain our Wordless Wednesday photos. Mom was trying to set the table for Easter dinner, however Spot and I had other ideas. Spot was under the table trying to tag me, and I was outside the table trying to tag him. We had such a good time playing. Although, mom was not all that pleased. She had to re position the table cloth at least 5x until she gave up and let us play until dinner time. Then we were sent off to the bedroom and locked inside so they the family could eat in peace. How Rude!

I went to the vet for my dental checkup on Tuesday. Dad took me and forgot to dress me in my favorite pink girly sweater. How could he take me out and not dress me appropriately? Anyway, the vet said that the right side of my gums looks good, the antibiotic treatment worked. The other side is better but still red. They still want to give it more time to heal before they start pulling teeth. No antibiotics, just treating my water, the mouth rinse, and brush my teeth. Then I have to go back in a few months to see if it is any better. I was shaking so much from the cold room that they had a hard time checking for the heart murmur. She thinks I am ok.. If I had my pretty sweater on I wou ld not have been cold and shaking and the vet might have gotten a better picture of my heart.

Mom and dad are so grateful that they have the money from the auction to pay my vet bill this week and take Spot in for his heart ultra sound. We don't know what we would have done without all your contributions.

Mom and dad also heard that they are getting their travel approval soon for the adoption. They have been waiting forever to get my two legged sis and now it is finally happening. I hear she does not like cats. Oh....no!

We have so much to be thankful for. We don't get many awards and when we do we feel so honored and special. We received an award from Missy Blue Eyes. We love Missy Blue Eyes and her mommy. They have been great fur friends, we don't now what we would have done without them.

Green: Fiona says that when she thinks of green, or see's green grass, she thinks of the green fields of Iowa where she came from.

This is very hard for us, we have so many wonderful fur friends from all over the world. Picking 4 is so difficult for us. I will try to pick 4 that do not have this award.

I'm Back! ..sort of.

Good morning my fellow lads and lassies,

How I have missed you all, you have no idea. I have been patiently Waiting for mum to replace the router. Every week it was the same promise to replace it. Mum was supposed to buy it last Thursday, but what did she do instead, mum and dad went for a bike ride in the forest preserves bike trails on a warm but windy day. They fought the head winds the whole time, so they came back exhausted. Mum was mumbling somthing aobut having a heart attack, feeling like she was going to die, etc... Such DRAMA like you have never seen or heard. So you can quess that they did not purchase the router that day. Too tired!

They finally bought the new router saturday, installed it, had to talk with a tech person to connect the wireless laptops and guess what, the computers are still disconnecting. So, after spending money on a new router the problem might be the comcast modem. Looks like they have to replace that now. Here we are again, we thought we were good to go and now we are at a stop again. Such problems...

Well, Mum and dad spent 30 minutes in line saturday morning at the Comcast Center so they could replace the modem. They got a new one, hooked it up and guess what? That's right the computers are still disconneting and reconnecting at random. They have no idea what to do now. How frustrating for us all. What am I supposed to do if I can't visit all my lads and lassie's? Mum called for help again at Linksy but they said it was not them, so mum called Comcast. Comcast is coming out Monday to check the lines to see if they are the problem. Last time they called Comcast dad had to stay home to wait for them and he got stood up. Hopefully they will find the problem if they come out.

You have no idea what I have had to deal with these past few weeks without being able to visit all my friends. Between broken promises and Fiona being a nusiceance it was all I could do to keep my British cool. I see she called me a pratt. Let me make this clear about who is the pratt, it is not I. Who admitted to chasing tiny ants, whapping them, and eating them? Who eats everything in site, including leaves, fuzz, dust balls, q-tips, paper, sofa pillows, chair legs, shirts, pants, etc. She finds great humor in biting me and running, and sleeping on top me. I think you know who the real pratt is. I warned you she could be dodgy. She is not to be trusted.

I on the other hand spent my time in quiet contemplation and reflection-not aloofness and moping. My knickers were not in a twist. Instead, I spent my time wisely, not chasing tiny ants you can barely see. Such triviality. I spent my time this past weekend trying to visit all my friends to wish them a very Happy Easter. It took quite a while with our router/modem/Comcast problems, But it was worth it, I just had to take the time to stop by.

This is so frustrating, it has taken me so long to do this short post that now I need a very long kip.

How is everyone? I look really serious in this photo, I could use some bunny ears on this photo if mom only knew how to photoshop. Oh..well!

We have tried visiting our friends but Evertime we try and visit the router shuts down, we feel so left out and lonely. Mom promised that she would replace it this weekend because it's getting worse if that is even possible. Spot is still protesting by not wearing his Bowler. He would not even let mom take his Easter photo, all he does is pout and look out that back door. He won't look at anyone or even speak to anyone. He is in a real funk.

Besides our router woes we ahve been battling small ants in the kitchen. Dad has sprayed the basement, the outside wall, and the baseboard, but they still keep coming. What seems to work is essential peppermint oil, dad washes the floor with water and peppermint oil, and then mom wipes the counter and sink with the peppermint oil diluted with some water, then they run the dishwasher with the oil and that gets rids of them for a few days. Then it wears off and they come back. I on the other hand quite like the little buggers, they are fun to chase, whap and then eat. However, they are not very filling.

Have to keep this short so I can get through this and post before we disconnect again.

Spot and I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. We are getting a new router this weekend and will be back visiting and catching up with all our friends very soon. We miss everyone!

Fiona's weekend round-up!

Well it certainly has been awhile. We are still here, we just don't have a new router yet. Mom was hoping to get a new one last week but it didn't work out. She is hoping to get one soon.

Spot and I miss our CB friends, we miss reading our fur friends posts, all the wonderful parties, house trashings, and sending comforting words to those kitties who are not well. We are very lonely without all of you and we miss you. Spot has taken this very hard. He has so despondent that he has even taken his beloved Bowler off and stopped speaking in British slang. He says he won't put it on again until mom gets the new router and he can talk with all his friends.

I am doing ok... I go to the vet for my check up in a few weeks and Spot has stopped sneezing. I have done some eally cute things but no time to talk about them with this stupid router disconnecting every few seconds. Have to keeo this short, I have had to do this in 4 sessions. Gottoa go for now. We hope to visit you all soon.

I tell you, I thought my extreme downhill run was tough until I tried to visit all my friends this week. Still have computer woes, now the router is not working properly. Seems it wants to connect and disconnect within seconds. Then it completely disconnets and the whole system has to be shut down and started up again. I told mum that I was not to happy with this situation and I wanted her to immediately go to Bset Buy and purchase a new router for me. She told me in no uncertain terms that I had to keep my spots on for a time until she can replace the old one. It has taken me 25 minutes just to make my simple post with 6 disconnects and reconnects while I was typing and 2 new start-ups. Furrustrating to say the least. I wantd all my best lads and laddies to know that I have not gone away or been ignoring you, I just can't stay online long enough to visit everyone and make comments. I miss you all and I hope to get this situation taken care of soon.

Well my good chaps, its been a while since my last post. Very busy you know preparing for my olympic events, pairs ice skating with Fiona and then the mens Downhill. If you have not seen our event videos please take a peek. I must tell you what fun I had last week. It was jolly good fun.

Bowlers off to Finn and to all the event hosts. The competition was tough, every entry I saw was a gold medal winner. The ice skating venue with Fiona was quite fun. However, my downhill run was brillant, what a rush. It really got my blue blood going. Us British Mancats do love excitement and what is more exciting than the downhill with an avalanche at your heels. Nothing I tell you-nothing!

Did you know Downhill skiing is a variation of alpine skiing, and the rules for this sport were developed in the 1920s during the National Ski Championships in England. The term is used by many people to mean any sport in which a skier descends a mountain slope at high speeds. Many styles of skiing have evolved from downhill skiing, and are very popular today.

The downhill version of skiing is the fastest performed. Skiers can reach a top speed of 80 miles per hour, and on many courses in Austria skiers will reach speeds of over 90 miles per hour. Because of this, downhill skiing is also one of the most dangerous winter sports performed. An accident at these speeds could instantly kill a skier. To perform in this sport, skiers are expected to have strength, skill, and a high level of courage.

Sphynx are known for being courageous, and their muscular physique, strength, and agility which makes me the perfect downhill skier. It was quite the rush. You should all give it a whirl before all this snow melts. Anyway....

Like I said, all the entries I saw looked like medal winners to me. Will be tough to pick the medal winners. Congrats to everyone who participated! Can't wait to see who wins.

I am still quite knackered from last week. Well then, I am off to spend a penny, eat a butty, have some clotted cream and take a very long kip. Oh... Nuts! I gave up clotted cream for Lent. Just the butty then..

We can't let Thankful Thursday go by with out thanking all of you again for your support. You have touched our hearts and enriched our lives and we will never be the same again. We were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. Our family can't believe how much everyone has donated to Spot and Fiona when you have never met us. I tell them you are the best fur friends in the world and I mean the world. I tell them we have friends from all over the world who donated, and it is amazing!

I want give you an update on where we stand after all the donations and the Auction. We have $800 left after all the vet visits we made these past few months. Every penny of the remaining money will go towards Fiona's next vet visit in a few weeks and then towards any dental surgery she may need. Her breath is stinky again even with the 2x daily meds and treated drinking water, so we won't be surprised if they want to remove some teeth. Other than that Fiona is doing so much better now than when we first got her. She is happy and running wild in the house. She is super sweet and a love.

Spot is doing better, he has sneezes on and off but other wise doing good. They are to this point because of all your generous support . We don't know what we would have done without all of you. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fiona's weekend Round-up!

It's been a long week for me. Actually, Wednesday was not a good day for me. It was the first time since I came to my new home that I really did something naughty. I didn't mean to cause such a catastrophie but I did. I bet you are wondering what I did.. hang on I will tell you. You need to know that I am not a good jumper, I can't jump very high yet. I don't know why I just can't, doesn't mean I don't try-I do. That's where the catastrophie happened.

Dad made his famous chili mac for him and mom. He worked hard making sure everything was perfect and that mom could sit and relax after work. Dad called mom to the table to eat, I got all excited and decided to try and jump onto the table. I jumped and made it to the top of the table..well the edge of it anyway. I put one paw on the table and one paw on the rim of the mom's plate. The plate of chili mac went flying and landed upside down on the kitchen floor, mom and dad's jackets that they had hung over the back of the chairs, Spot's mancave, and the mail on th table. To make things worse I got so scared that I jumped off the table knocking over the cup of water . The water flew in all directions including the window, the wall, the mail and the floor.

I didn't know what to do, I am still kind of new and I didn't know what mom and dad would do to me, would they yell and me, hit me, throw me outside? I was so scared that I ran up stairs and hid shaking the whole time. Mom came upstairs to find me but I was a good hider, I sat very still so no one could even hear me breathe. After the mess downstairs was cleaned up, dad came up to find me. He found me shaking and scared. He picked me up, hugged me and kissed me and told me it was ok. Then he cleaned me up since I had chili mac on my legs, body, head.. Mom kissed me too and said it was ok. I was so relieved . Now I know that mom and dad love me even when I make mistakes. I am a very lucky and blessed kitty to have my mom and dad. Spot, I am not so sure about.

Spot has been such a nusiance this week with his mustache poll. Which look will win, Charlie Chaplin, the handle bar, or no mustache? He loves his bowler and Charlie Chaplin mustache. He looks like he has a black bug on his lip or something. He thinks he is all that and more. So, I have kept him on the run this week. Two can play the chase game. I came from the hood you know. When your one of many kitties you have to stick up for yourself and let them know your there. Let's just say that Spot knows I am here- here to stay.

That's my round up for this week. I plan to spend all weekend napping and chasing Spot. Have a great weekend everyone.

What makes me the Perfect British Mancat

Good morning my fellow chaps and chapettes: Today I will discuss what makes me the perfect British mancat. As you can see I am a Sphynx of British descent.  I have no true eyebrows or whiskers - this is caused by a recessive gene. This mutation changed not only my hair length but also my body type, so that I do not merely look like a domestic cat without hair. I look like an entirely different species. In cats with normal coats, their hair regulates body temperature, and the Sphynx's lack of hair causes me to sweat and also makes me warm to the touch. I never have a bad hair day, get mats, or cough up hair balls. This enables me to always look dapper.

I have a long fine and muscular body, barrel-chested, with long slim legs and small manly paws. My tail is long, thin and hard. My neck is is long and supports my head and Bowler. My neck is slightly longer than it is wide. My ears appear disproportionately large, wide at the base and round-tipped - perfect for wearing hats. My eyes are deep-set and slanted giving me that manly look. My skin has the texture of chamois and some Sphynx may be covered with a very short down fur.But I am truly naked, not a floor, fur or down fur on my sleek body. Inside my ears and on my feet, I have short, tightly packed soft hair. My skin is very wrinkled and I retain as many wrinkles as possible, especially on my head. This gives me my rugged good looks and also provides me with much needed insulation. The lack of a thick insulating coat makes the me very warm to the touch. On cold days I do like a cardigan to keep me warm. Although I do not have hair that needs to be combed, I do secrete an oil from my skin and require frequent bathing.

I am a champion purrer, and I am very people-orientated and affectionate. I love attention and greet my mum and dad when they come home . I am very talkative and love to speak in British slang. I am highly intelligent, playful, cuddly, often described as being "part dog, part child, part monkey, and part cat" - I like to snuggle next to mum and dad when they sleep - under the covers of course. I love playing with cat toys and soccer balls, and I love to play fetch. See- part dog.  Most of all, I really love affection., and I can be quite a clown. You can see this all adds up to make me the perfect flatmate as well as the perfect British Mancat.

Update on the wee little chap, MRI test results are in, no mass, no blockage, just a minor heart murmur that will go away on it's own. Well, all this talk has made me quite knackered. Now I need to spend a penny , eat a butty and a bowl of double cream  and then take a long kip. So Cheerio, Hip Hip Hooray, and all that other stuff!

Fiona's Weekend Round-Up~

Happy Weekend everyone: First I want to thank Ollie for my beautiful virtual portrait. I hope you all get one for your bloggie too.

Now on to my round-up. It's been a week I tell you. Between Spot and his new found British heritage and concern over grand baby we are all quite exhausted. Spot has really cheesed me off this week. What a prat. He thinks he is the bees knees now. He struts around the house with that stupid Bowler on his head like he is King of England and 007 all in one. He has been such an arse. I think he has gone barmy. He only talks in British slang and he refuses to take that stupid hat off. He is so full of beans. I have news for him, he is not British. We came from the same breeder in IOWA, not England. He has never had a fish an chip in his life.

The closest thing he has come to it is part of of french fry from McDonalds. I am trying be nice and synpathetic and ignore this British thing. After all, I gave him the virus I had and he is still not recovering. The second round of meds has not worked, and he is still sneezing and we think we heard a cough last night. He might have to go to the heart specialist if it gets worse, and that means more blood work for him, chest x-rays, and a heart scan. Poor Chap! Oh well, I guess I will let him pretend to be British for a time more and will try and chat him up a bit even though he is off his trolley. What a flat mate he has turned out to be.

I am doing ok, I get my meds 2x daily and I am eating well, playing, napping and chasing Spot around the house. I can be cheeky too you know. It's so much fun to chase him and watch that stupid Bowler bounce up and down on his head. I get quite the chuckle from it. I am feeling quite knackered myself from this week. Time for some kip myself. Blimey! I think Spot's British accent is rubbing off on me. Fancy that...

Thank you to everyone for your purrs and prayers for grand baby Aidan. The MRI looks good so far, the final resutls will in next week. The CB is the best! This weekend we will be recooperating. Well, That's all the odds and sods for this week. Cheerio!

My new look is absolutely Brill. My Bowler is off to Katie and Glogirly. I could have never completed my new look without them. Now all I need is a brolly and a proper suit to complete the look. It is very Thomas Crown Affair looking don't you think?

Have a jolly good day all and Hip hip hooray and all that other stuff! I'm off to eat the fish and chips in my bowl and the clotted cream before Fiona wakes up. She is a bit dodgy you know. She will probably have a benny when she wakes up and finds out I ate all the food and left her nothing but the bottom of the bowl to lick. Anyway, I don't give a toss. Her taste pallate is unrefined, she eats the fuzz off the floor so why waste the chrispy and tasty fish and chips on her I ask.

I can be quite the cheeky bugger too you know. Off I go now...Cheerio!

I blame my momma for that and her laptop that is not in good working order. So today , this Tuesday I am finally making good on the award I accepted. Actually, I hated to pick just 10 blogs. I think I look like quite the Mancat in this Bowler Hat. It's much better than the brown reindeer hat with red puffy antlers protruding from it. Katie and Glogirly suggested I try the Bowler. It makes me look quite distinguished don't you think? The Black really stands out against my pinkish skin. Now all I need is a suit to complete the ensemble. What do you think about the Bowler Hat. Is it me or should I keep searching?

DERBY HATS & BOWLER HATS

In the United States, this hat is known as a "Derby". But in England it is known as a "Bowler". The derby is a dome-shaped rigid hat with a curled small brim and is traditionally made of stiff felt. It was created for an Englishman, James Coke in 1850s, and made stiff to protect the head. Fiona Update ...

Hello everyone,

Fiona saw the vet today for her post op check-up. The lesions are less red and swollen but they are still there. In 2 weeks we need to start brushing her teeth and do the mouth rinse. That should be fun! The vet thought she heard a slight heart murmur, yes, a heart murmur. She will check for it again when Fiona goes back in 6 weeks. Her meds run out in 6 weeks and she is hoping that the meds will work or lessen the inflamation.

Fiona can't take meds for the rest of her life. We have to try the 2 month meds treatment first before we tackle having her teeth extracted. At least now we have Fund money to pay for a chunk of that when the time comes. If she has a heart murmur that's other ball game. 2 cats with heart murmurs who need special care and one with serious dental problems. Oh boy! If it were not for the generous friends at the CB I don't know what we would have done. One thing at a time right now. Spot is still on his special meds until Sunday. We have not heard him cough or sneeze so we are hopeful that this round of special meds did the trick. If not, then he needs to go to the heart specialist. I will say it again...Oh Boy!

Ps...We are still experiencing computer problems. I am hoping to get my laptop back this weekend so we can get back to visting all of our friends.

No More Goofy Hats!

It's Unamious, the silly Reindeer hat has to go.No self-respecting distinguished cat such as myself should be caught dead in such an undignified hat with red antlers protruding from it. No more will I wear idioitic hats, no more will I let my mom take ridiculus photos of me and post them for the world to see. No more will I let them make me a laughing stock of the CB. I should have a say of what I wear and what is posted on the blog. After all it is my blog is it not? I am not against hats, just preposterous, dopy ones that make me want to hang my head in shame. I am not opposed to a hat that makes me look refined, dignified, and one that brings out my mancatness. Of course the hat color must bring out the blue in my spots, and tail. So, the search is on for a dignified and regal chapeau for me to wear. I have sent my parents on a search to find me a fitting hat to wear. If any you have any ideas or suggestions for such a noble hat please let me know.

Dad want his laptop back, say's I use the computer too much. He blames me for breaking mom's laptop, says I have been blogging and posting too much and burned out the laptop. First of all I don't blog and post too much. He doesn't understand that I have met so many wondeful fur friends and even some fur challenged kitties like me. I have to keep in touch, say "Hi", give a Shout Out to my Home Boys, and send Purrs to all the Furry Pretty girl kitties out there. Everytime I see a pretty feline in a cute little sweater my blue spots go pitter patter.  I wonder if any girl kitties out there think I'm cute? I think I am, who could resist a guy with no fur, blue spots, a blue tail ,and a blue toupee on their head? I think I should take a poll once I get my momma's laptop back. Do the pretty girl kitties prefer their guys with fur or without fur?  If you think about it I have a lot to offer. I don't leave fur anywhere, and I don't get fur balls, and I am very warm to the touch. A poll with be forth coming soon.

Blogging is a part of my life now. Dad is just jealous of all my world-wide friends that I have to keep in touch with. Does he have Friends that visit him from all over the world. No! He has no friends, he can just talk to the PAW if you know what I mean.  I just might have to put the bitey on him if he tries to keep me from blogging.

Not a fit night for man or beast

Do you remember who said that? It's from Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's true, it's not a fit night or day for man or beast out today. Very cold, so I am spending most of my time under the warm blankie. Might as well, I can't really do much blogging, my mommie's laptop is not working, all her cute pics of me are on it too. The upstairs desk top is very old and very slow, too hard for me to type on. I am using my dad's laptop which is old too and slow. But, I can do a few things on here. I will try to do some Shout-Out's to the Purrthday Kitties, and the Gotcha Day Kittie's and the kitties who are not feeling well until get my momma's laptop back. For now, I am trying to stay warm but still chase Fiona around the house hissing at her. I have to keep her on her toes and let her know who is BOSS!

We Got a Refund from the Breeder

Some good news on this the first day of the New Year, the breeder refunded what we paid her for Fiona and to get her spayed. We received all $310.00 back. That will be put aside to help pay for Fiona's future dental extractions and for Spot's Vet visits. Which won't go very far but it helps. Every dollar helps and it all adds up. Spot goes to the Vet tomorrow for his cough, so will use some of that refund tomorrow. We are appreciative, so now it's completely behind us and we can all move forward to a brand new year.

We have so much to be thankful for, new grand baby, our little girl in China that we hope to travel to get in April, and the marriage our daughter in Sept. So many happy events to look forward to and we so blessed to have met so many wonderful friends on the CB, you have touched our hearts, and enriched our lives. We don't know what we would have done with out you. We look forward to a new year with all of you in our lives and Spot and Fiona's.

Our medical update for this morning: I was up all night coughing, It came back with a vengence. Fiona ate all the stinky goodness this morning, all she left me was the crunchies. You snooze you lose here. I heard mom and dad say that they are taking me to the vet this Saturday. Hope all of you are well and we are sending purrs and prayers to those who are not feeling well.

Fiona wants to thank everyone for all hte support, purrs, prayers, head butts, paws crossed, financial donations, auction donations, items donated for the auction and now the Etsy auction. She feel very blessed and loved by so many people the world over. We mean the world over. Our family is blessed as well and we could not hav gotten to this point with out all of you.

Fiona is doing very well this morning. She is eating soft foods today, she loves her cans of stinky goodness and wolfs it down like there is no tomorrow. Poor Spot, if he doesn't get there first he is out of luck. She takes her food very seriously. Don't mess with her while she is eating.

We have decided for now to see what happens in the next 2 months. Let's give the meds and oral rinses a try and go from there. When we go for her check-up in 2 weeks I will ask them for a dental specialist referral. We have read up on her conditon and it's not pretty, it's sad what will eventually happen but at lest we know that there is some hope and if her teeth have to be pulled she will fine.

Taking a step back from this and what has transpired with Fiona and Harry Spotter. I don't think the breeder purposely gave us a sick cat. I think it is more a series of unfortunate events. To be honest, I met her when we picked Fiona up, she seems like a lovely person who cares about all of her cats and other animals. She does a lot of good for those in her community. However, I think the breeder needs a new Vet. She went on the advice of her vet that Fiona was well and that her dental was good. The Vet obviously did not do a thourough dental exam or they would have found the Plasma Cell Stomatitis on her lower and upper gums. The disease is at the moderate stage, but being so young and it being at the moderate stage is not good, it's not a good prognosis for her dental future. The Vet would have found it had they checked and done a complete dental. How can you have a contract about giving/getting a healthy cat when your Vet is no good?

As for Spot, it happens. His heart condition cannot be diagnosed until 6 months of age, and that's when it was discovered. She offed us another kitten. She tried to honor her contract and we turned it down. We saw Shrek and thought, he would be a cute brother for Spot. Then he died unexpectedly and we were offered Fiona. She had her spayed and all her shots done where she lives. It's cheaper there and she did save us a lot of money by having all that done where she lives. We are grateful.

But now have 2 cats with degenerative health conditions. It is what it is. It's fact. Harry Spotter could not have been diagnosed that early.That in no way is her fault or the fault of the Vet. Fiona on the other hand could have been had the Vet done a complete exam. I guess this is a lesson learned for everyone. If you buy a kitten from a breeder, get it in writing on the contract that they have been checked for certain dental diseases and not a general check mark that the dental is good. For the breeder, they need a good vet to make sure that they check for everything, do a complete exam and not a general look see and quick check mark that all is well. The Breeder has to be able to depend on their vet and if they can't depend on their vet to do a thourough check up and make an appropriate diagnosis then they need a new vet. I think the breeder needs a new vet.

I have said all that I want to say about the Breeder and the Vet. There is nothing more to say. Like I said, it is what it is, and fact is fact, you can't force someone to do the right thing, and now it's time to move on and make sure that Fiona get the proper dental treatment.

Fiona - Final Update from Vet - Fiona is Home

The surgeon called. Fiona has a condtion, Stomatitis or something like that. It's a condtion that get progressively worse during their life. Her cheeks and mouth are infected, it's bad, she has seen worse. But for a 1.5 year old its not good that it's this bad so early on. The only thing they can do is clean her teeth, put her on daily meds, cortisone, teeth brushing, mouth rinses, and extraction of all her teeth in the back. She will need regular vet visits to check on her teeth and gums, and probably tooth extractions. She suggested taking her to a cat dental specialist. She wanted to know what I wanted her to do, don't do anything, take her to a specialist... I told her that I can't afford to shop around right now, clean her teeth, extract those 2 teeth if needed and then we would take it from there. She said she hates to put cats on cortisone, but her mouth is bad, there is no cure other than extracting teeth in the back.

So, that is my update for now. Maybe if there is any money left we can take her to a specialist when her mouth get better from the teeth cleaning and tooth extraction. Now I have 2 cats that have progressive health problems and who need regular vet visits, specialists and expensive testing and care.

Fiona is out of surgery. They cleaned her teeth, they did not pull any teeth. The problem is in the gums and mouth. They want to try the least invasive treatment. They can always pull teeth if needed. She will need antibiotics for about 2 months straight, daily oral rinse, and maybe cortisone. Harry Spotter can also get infected. He already got the virus from her, he can also get the oral probelms as well. She is out of surgery, she is doing well and we can pick her up in a few hours. She will need post-op visits to the vet and lots of meds for now and maybe see dental specialist.

Fiona is home, she doing well, a little wobbly but well. The vet advised to take it one step at a time. You can always pull the teeth if needed. That is the only cure, to pull all the teeth. She is so young that they really don't want to do it now. They want to wait and see how she reacts to 2 months of antibitotics, oral rinse, etc. We are hoping that Spot does not come down with the dental disease. That would devastating for him with his heart murmur. So, now we take it one step at a time.

I want to thank everyone who made today possible. Without your help she would not of had her surgery, teeth cleaning, meds and money left for her post-op vet visits.

Swollen gums, lymph nodes and lesions..

We took Fiona to the vet in a a heavy snow fall Saturday afternoon, that is how concerned we were about her. The vet said that the virus is still runing through her body and has to run it's course. It's viral, so they can only treat the secondary conditions. They think that it can also be connected to her mouth. Her gums are swollen, she has bumps and lesions on her gums, her mouth is infected and she has two swollen lymph nodes under her chin. One nostril has an open passageway, the right one is partially blocked from the yellow mucus/gunk. Her body can't get better with all this going on. The vet was very concerned, she took her out of the room we were in to see one of the specialists.

The specialist saw her and determined that the swollen lymph nodes were from the infection in her mouth and once that is resolved that they will disappear. He said It is important that she have her surgery on Tuesday, that all the conditions are feeding on each other. They didn't even charge us for the office visit once I told them that we would have to postpone the surgery for a few days, that we had to use the money from her surgery fund to pay for this visit. They said that Fiona's mouth is so bad that they want her to be treated this Tuesday and that they would not charge us for the visit. They did charge us $58.00 for her meds. Can you imagine a VCA not charging for a visit. Although we have probably spent $3,000 there in the past few months. It's not like they are losing money on us, but genersous just the same and greatly appreciated.

The vets also said that if the virus comes back after her surgery that they would have to wipe the slate clean and see where else the problems are coming from. It's hard to treat a viral infection but They hope that the surgery will take care of the problems. As for Harry Spotter, they said he has been on the appropriate meds, and again it's a virus. They can only treat the secondary conditions. If he starts coughing again or has a runny nose then we need to bring him in. For now, it needs to run it's course. Poor Spot! He was just an innocent by stander in all this.

Fiona goes in Tuesday morning at 8 AM. The bill could be $800 and that is without the biopsies and follow-ups. We are most grateful for all the money donated to the Chip-in. With out that she would not be be getting her much needed surgery. So, every dollar donated, or auction items donated and won are such a blessing to us and to Fiona. So are all the purrs and prayers, we need it all and it all works together. We are very blessed by everyone. Thank you and we will keep you posted on her dental surgery Tuesday.

Christmas Morning!

I am posting this Christmas morning since Spot is busy playing with his new Christmas mousie that Santa Paws left for him, and Fiona is feeling under the weather again. Seems her virus has come back eventhough she has been on medication since her first visit to the vet. She has thick yellow gunk coming from her nose again. We plan to take her to see the vet this Saturday to see what's up. We tried to get Spot's meds refilled but they denied our request. We were hoping to avoid him from getting sick again. We heard him sneeze earlier but we are hoping that it was only a sneeze.They want to see him before they refill any meds. I told them no, if he gets sick then we will have to take him in. Fiona's dental surgery is planned for Tuesday but if she is sick I don't think they will go through with it until she is better. We just hope that Spot does not get reinfected. We might have to bring him in on Saturday too. I think it might be time to pursue some legal options. The vet visits and bills keep adding up and I still have 2 sick cats. That's the medical update this morning on Harry Spotter and Fiona. Enough of sickness and vet visits for today.

We tried to get some cute Christmas pictures, however, Fiona was not feeling well for her Snowman picture, we got the best pic we could. Spot is a ham. He loves the camera-sometimes.

Today is the day to be thankful for all that we have been blessed with, and that is you , all the fur friends and their staff, the people involved with Fiona's auction, and all of those who have Chipped In for her dental bills, and donated items. We are truly blessed by all of you.

Santa was here and left two presents under the tree. The moment I saw the big box wrapped in green paper with Santa and a snowman on it I knew it was mine. So, what is a kitty supposed to do? I attacked it, I had to free my toys inside. I ripped the bow off and was ready to bite and tear the paper when mom saw me and yelled at me. She said the present was for the new grand-baby and that I had to stop. The nerve, first they bring Fiona home, she gives me a virus that I have still not recovered from, she took all my favorite napping spots and now this. The only wrapped gift under the tree was not for me. It was for the new grand-baby. So, I took the shiny green bow that was in my mouth and I ran off with it. The only two gifts under the tree and neither are for me or for Fiona. Mom and dad don't give gifts to each other on Christmas. This year they are watching their pennies because of Fiona and my vet bills and Wenxuan in China.. So all they bought was a gift for the grand baby and a gift for their son's girfriends little boy and that was it. What about moi? Fiona is getting all the attention, she took over my blog and I even had to change the URL and it's name to include her and now there is Not one gift for me under there.

I sure hope that Santa Paws knows of my situation and comes on Christmas Eve. I have been a very good boy and I deserve some toys and treats. So, if any of you know him will you please put in a good word for me? I'm not picky, I like mousies with cat nip, and a nice warm blankie for my heated bed would be nice, and a bad to the bone kitty sweater. I am a little distressed right now. I hope Santa Paws comes. So, if you know him please tell him to come to my house.

I want to thank everyone who bid on all those wonderful auction items to raise money for my dental surgery. You all contributed lots of money and I am very grateful. I'd say the first week was a huge success. There were also a few more donations to the Chipin, I feel so very blessed by you all.

Gracie did a pawsome job for me and she deserves lots of treats for working so hard on the auction. I am asking my momma to send her a goodie bag.

The second week of the auction looks even better. There will new amazing items up for bid at the Auction site. So, please take a look at the new items on Monday morning.

Cat dental health is extremely important. I wish my breeder and her vet took my dental health seriously saving me all these problems and my new family all my dental bills. Maybe I should email them the link to the book so they know what to look for in a cats mouth.

I want to thank everyone who visited the auction today for Fiona and put in bids. Every dollar helps pay for Fiona's upcoming surgery. The bill could run about $800+ for teeth cleaning, surgery to remove the 2 lesions and possible extraction of 2 teeth, and that doesn't even include the biopsy of each lesion. Then we have her follow up visit. Her upcoming bills will be large and we thank everyone who has contributed.

My visit to the vet~

Good morning everyone,

I wanted to keep you posted on my visit to the vet last night. It was very cold, so dad put my pretty pink sweater on me while mom took my picture. Then in the carrier I went and Spot came to say Good-Bye. I think he thought I was leaving furever, going to a new home. he was none too pleased when I returned. The doctor checked my gums, she said they were not any better. She was hoping the the lesions and swelling would have gone down a little. They did not, the lesion on my lower left gums is the worst. She said they both have to be removed from my gums and possibly extract the teeth and they want a biopsy on each to see why they appeared.

Mom asked her again about how old they were, she said that I had these for a long time. They were not new and that I came with them. Mom explained to her that this visit was being paid for by generous donations from the CB . My mom asked the vet if they could the blood panel now so we would not have to pay for another office visit to get it done. She wanted to make sure that every dollar donated was carefully spent. The vet took me in back where they took my blood. I was a good girl, but one person siad they thought I had an ugly face . How RUDE! Most of them liked me and thought I was a pretty girl even though I have no floof or furrs.

Mom and dad set up a tentative suregery appointment for me the Tuesday after Christmas in hopes we will have all the money needed to pay the bill. My mom is thinking positive and so am I. I am grateful for everyones donation that paid for my visit and blood panel tonight. I am also grateful for all the purrs and prayers and good thoughts, those are just as important to me and my family as the green papers.

Mom and dad said they were a little concerned about my gums surgery and toofs extractions, I heard them say that my gums would be very very painful until they healed. I still have to take antibiotics until the surgery. But they were hopeful that soon my mouth would be healed and I would be pain free and have a healthy mouth and smile.

They did a junior well check on me, and did not charge for an office bisit so yy bill was smaller than we thought it would be. That's good now we can put the rest towards my surgery.

Good morning,

This is my first post without my brother Spot. I am so lucky and blessed to have a good home and a cat blogging community that has come to my aid. I came to my new family with some serious dental issues, large swollen lesions on my lower gums, two teeth that need to be extracted and possible biopsy of each lesion. Mom signed a contract that said I was healthy and had been checked out by the vet. He said my teeth were good. But, he never checked my back teeth or looked at my gum line to see, nor checked what the ordor coming from my mouth. I came with a virus that spread to my brother Spot. He had to go to the vet and racked up some serious bills. He is still not 100% and has lost his meow. The cattery says it could of happened when I got spayed, my new vet says I had it for a while because is is so bad. All I know is that I have tooth and gum hurts.

Mom and dad have been doing their best, they had paid out over $2,000 in vet bills within the past few months and now my dental bills. Every dollar they spent on vet bills they took from their adoption travel fund. Did Spot tell you we are getting a 5 year old sister from China very soon, within a few months. Mom and dad have used their saved money for their trip to China to pay vet bills. They have used all their travel money on us, their naked fur challenged children. That is how much they love us, but now they are in a terrible situation. They travel fund is empty and they still have my vet future vet bills to pay. Now they are in a bind with their travel fund to get their waiting daughter and now pay for my remaining bills. The cattery owner will accepet no responsibilty for my dental bills. What is mom and dad to do?

They feel very blessed to have the cat blogging community supporting them and me. Every purr, purrprayer, paws crossed, well wishes, and finanical donation has been a blessing to them. Every dollar donated gets me one step closer to taking care of my dental problems. Tonight I see the vet so she can check my gum lesions and take the pre-surgery blood lab panel. The money donated so far will help pay for tonights bill.

Hunkered down for the storm..

Since Fiona moved in I have lost all my favorite warm snoozing spots, the big bed with the electric blanket, on top of the cable box under the lamp and my favorite heat vent. It's been snowing since Monday and we are expecting more snow and extreme bitter wind and cold. What's a naked kitty supposed to do with this terrible news? I had no choice so I moved into my old cat carrier. It's not like I am 100% and here I am hunkered down in my old carrier trying to stay warm and recooperate. Don't know what happened? I have lost my meow and I still sneezes. Good thing I have more meds to take. Hopefully my meow will come back.

Doesn't Fiona looks warm and comfy in the big bed, I am giving her a break since she has toothie and gum sores. She is resting up for her vet visit on Friday for her pre-surgery blood panel. Just wait till she's better!

Snowy Monday morning in Chicago...

I have to tell you how over whelmed my family is by everyone's response to Fiona and her dental issues. They are so grateful by everyone's generosity to help pay Fiona's dental bills and help heal her mouth pain. They say we could not have any better friends anywhere in the world, fur or no fur. Every dollar will be used to help pay her bills. She goes to the vet this Friday so they can check to see if the swelling of her lessions have gone down. They will also do the pre-blood work testing. The money donated will be put towards that bill, one of many bills to come.

I am feeling a little better. I still have a cough and some sneezes but I am much better. Still taking my meds and Fiona is taking hers. She is still restless, rubs her face on everything. Hopefully the meds will help the swelling go down and ease some of her mouth pain. We have our first snow in Chicago today so it's a good day to hunker down and get some more snoozes in and rest our bodies.
